Light Up Sir Harold Hillier Gardens At Christmas
Autumn term is underway and it’ll be Christmas before we know it! But for tens of thousands of festive family memory makers Christmas can’t come soon enough as the countdown has commenced for the opening of the all-new Light Up Sir Harold Hillier Gardens at Christmas light trail.
In just 12 weeks’ time, the popular family attraction will open for 2024, bigger, better and more beautiful than ever, with organisers promising the Christmas Wonderland theme begins the moment visitors arrive.
As well as fantastic new light art to experience – including an incredible opportunity to walk on water – Light Up Trails have worked with Sir Harold Hillier Gardens to design a new route through some of the UK’s most important botanical gardens.
What’s more, in recognition of the times we live in there’s a price freeze! Off-Peak and Peak tickets are the same price as last year, but there’s a new Super Peak ticket for a number of extra special nights when the light trail is enhanced by live entertainment in association with Steamship Circus. Mesmerising fire jugglers, larger-than-life characters and awesome aerial artistes are set to elevate the Light Up experience.
As a result of audience feedback, Light Up Trails have also revamped the food and drink menu to offer an even wider choice, and have made a host of further improvements such as the large marquee with covered and outdoor eating areas, more accessible pathways and viewpoints, installing wheelchair-friendly ramps to cover cables, more toilets with baby changing units and upgrading the lighting and signage in the car park.
And there’s still time for schools to enter the Light Up Trails Schools Creative Competition to create a design that could be projected onto the large illuminated baubles as part of Light Up Sir Harold Hillier Gardens At Christmas. The winning design will be one of ten chosen to feature in the light trail, plus its designer will win a £1,000 prize for their school’s art department.

More Info & BookingRowans Hospice Make A Will Fortnight
Appointments available to book now for Make A Will Fortnight
Rowans Hospice supporters will be able to book an appointment with a local participating solicitor and write a simple Will for £250. The solicitors have kindly agreed to then re-direct the fee to Rowans Hospice as a donation.
Even if you already have a Will, it is essential to keep it up-to-date, especially after life-changing events such as getting married or divorced, a bereavement, or moving house.
It costs £7.8 million each year to provide our Hospice care, which is given free of charge. We receive only 10% funding from the Government, meaning that 90% of our income needs to be raised through donations, fundraising activities, our Retail shops and Gifts in Wills. Last year alone, one third of our income was derived from Gifts in Wills generously left to us by individuals who supported local Hospice care.
Everyone’s circumstances are different, and we recommend you always take professional advice from a solicitor.
