Outreach Radio is looking for a volunteer radio presenter with an engaging personality and great presentation skills to host our Wednesday evening New Country Music show.

We’re looking for entertaining and informative, NOT your political views.

Duties include:

  • Perform live, near-live or pre-recorded radio programmes that are entertaining and informative
  • Prepare and research for broadcasts including items of interest such as local gigs
  • Willingness to conduct occasional pre-recorded interviews, e.g. with artists or bands
  • Protect the station’s OfCom licence by adhering to the Ofcom Broadcast Code
  • Ensure that competitions and promotions are executed properly
  • Provide occasional voice-tracking cover for other radio shows
  • Cross-promotion of other station shows, and special events
  • Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts
  • Other duties as required by management

Requirements:

  • Team player with good synergy with co-workers
  • Excellent communicator with strong creative skills
  • Familiarity with live and voice tracking (or willingness to learn)
  • Knowledge of the music genre/format and audience
  • Knowledge of OfCom Broadcast Code (training provided)
  • Connections and familiarity with the Hampshire area

Outreach Radio is a Local Radio Station covering Hampshire & surrounding areas.  We broadcast 24 hours-a-day on DAB+ Digital Radio, on Freeview channel 277, online, on smart speakers and on mobile devices.
