Listen again to Home-Start Hampshire Volunteer interviews

Home-Start Hampshire is a voluntary organisation in which volunteers offer regular support and practical help to families under stress to help give their children the best possible start in life.

Support is confidential, non-judgemental and as individual as the families they help. By developing their services to meet the growing need across our local communities, they provide a range of support to families with children aged 0-11 years old across the county.

Home-Start Hampshire works because their volunteers understand how hard being a parent can be.  They work alongside parents, in their own homes, to help them cope with the stresses and strains of life and make sure they have the confidence, skills, time and strength they need to nurture their children.

As a volunteer organisation, and to meet the needs and demands of the local area, Home-Start Hampshire has been running a campaign with Outreach Radio to raise awareness of their work, in order to help recruit more volunteers.

As part of this campaign, interviews were conducted with existing volunteers to share with listeners first-hand what it was like to volunteer for Home-Start Hampshire.  These interviews were broadcast between the 5th and 8th of December, and can be listened to again using the catch-up buttons below.
