Crash Test Dummies @ The 1865, Southampton on Friday 15th November
Established in 2013, The 1865 is an independently run live events and music venue set in the heart of Southampton.
With a capacity of more than 750 for standing only gigs, over 500 for club nights or 200-300 seated theatre style, The 1865 is a key destination for entertainment.
Hosting shows of many different genres as well as tribute bands from around the world, The 1865 has seen the likes of The Levellers, Holy Holy, Fontaines DC, Snow Patrol, Yungblud, Lightning Seeds, Bad Manners and Craig David, to name just a few.
The Crash Test Dummies are a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg.
They are band is best known for the identifiable voice of Brad Roberts (vocals, guitar) and his distinctive bass-baritone voice, and best known internationally for their 1993 single “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm”.
Music by the Crash test Dummies has been featured in The Spy Who Dumped Me soundtrack and Black Bird soundtrack. “The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead” (featuring Ellen Reid) was featured on the Dumb and Dumber soundtrack. How I Met Your Mother – twice, New Girl, and Smallville.
God Shuffled His Feet is the second album by the Crash Test Dummies, released in 1993. It features their most popular single, “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm”. The cover art superimposes the band members’ faces over the figures of Titian’s painting Bacchus and Ariadne. It was their most successful album commercially, as it sold over eight million copies worldwide.
