102.5 FM
Outreach Radio broadcasts to South Hampshire on 102.5 FM.
Our original FM broadcasts began on 100.7 FM at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown in March 2020, and operated for nearly 18 months under a temporary licence granted by OfCom to radio stations supporting local areas during the pandemic.
Because this was a temporary licence and no new permanent FM licences were being allocated, we were unable to maintain a permanent presence on FM, so instead began our journey to roll out our service across Hampshire on DAB Digital Radio.
In July 2024, it was announced that Skyline Gold, a well respected FM radio station serving South Hampshire was sadly closing down after nearly 20 years of serving their local communities, citing insufficient funding to enable them to continue.
Working closely with the former Skyline Gold management, Outreach Radio was “passed the baton” in November 2024 and took on the Ofcom FM licence, 102.5 FM frequency, and some former members of the Skyline Gold crew who joined the Outreach Radio team to continue providing an FM service to South Hampshire, thus securing the on-going operation of the 102.5 FM frequency as Outreach Radio.
